Frequently asked questions
What does your birthday say about you?
Your birth date sets your Sun sign and its decan, the part of you tied to identity, drive, and how you move through the world. It's a real layer, but only one: your full birth chart adds the Moon, rising sign, and every planet, which is where the finer detail of who you are comes from.
How do I find my zodiac sign by birth date?
Pick your day from the calendar above, each date is mapped to the sign the Sun was in. The twelve signs run in roughly month-long stretches, with each one starting and ending around the 19th to the 23rd, so dates near those boundaries belong to whichever sign the Sun had actually moved into.
What is a decan?
Each zodiac sign covers 30 degrees of the sky, and a decan is a 10-degree slice of it, so every sign splits into three decans of about ten days each. People in the same sign but different decans share the core sign but carry a slightly different flavor.
What if I was born on a cusp (between two signs)?
On any given date and year the Sun is only ever in one sign, so there's no such thing as being born under two. A "cusp" birthday just falls close to a sign change, where the exact boundary shifts by up to a day or two from year to year. Checking your birth year (and ideally your birth time) settles which sign is actually yours.
Are people born on the same day alike?
They share the same Sun sign and decan, so there's often a familiar thread. But the Moon, rising sign, and the rest of the chart change with the time and place of birth, so two people born on one date can still come out noticeably different.
