What is a birth chart?

Your birth chart is the exact arrangement of the sky at the minute you were born — where the Sun, Moon, and every planet stood, seen from the spot on Earth you arrived in. Two people born the same day share a Sun sign and not much else; shift the time a few hours or the place a few hundred miles and the whole chart rearranges. That is why it takes a date, a time, and a city to draw yours and no one else’s.

Most people know only their Sun sign — the one tied to your birthday. That’s the headline, not the story. Your Moon is the part of you that only comes out when you feel safe; your rising is the version of you a stranger meets first. Mercury sets how you think and argue, Venus how you love and what you find beautiful, Mars what you chase and how hard. Read together, those placements describe not a fixed fate but the patterns you keep returning to.

How to read your chart

Planets are the “what”

Each planet rules a part of you — the Sun your core identity, the Moon your feelings, Mercury your mind, Venus your loves, Mars your drive. They’re the actors in your chart.

Signs are the “how”

The zodiac sign a planet sits in colours the way it expresses itself. A Mars in Aries acts fast and direct; a Mars in Libra weighs everything first. Same drive, different style.

Houses are the “where”

The twelve houses are the life areas — self, money, communication, home, romance, work, partnership, and so on. The house a planet falls in tells you where in life its energy shows up most.

Why your birth time matters

Do I need my exact time?

For your Sun and Moon, no — those are accurate from the date alone. But your rising sign and your house placements rotate through all twelve signs every twenty-four hours, so they need an exact time. Without one we estimate from noon and skip the houses and ascendant.

Why do you ask for my city?

Your chart depends on where on Earth you were, not just the clock. We use your birth city to resolve the correct timezone and coordinates, then convert your local birth time into the exact positions overhead at your moment of birth.
