The sun sign is the part almost everyone already knows. When someone says “I’m a Pisces,” they mean their Sun was in Pisces the moment they were born — the zodiac sign the Sun appeared to be standing in front of from where they stood on Earth.
Why your birthday decides your sun sign
Earth orbits the Sun once a year, and from our point of view that motion makes the Sun drift slowly across the same ring of constellations we met earlier — the zodiac. Because the orbit repeats on schedule, the Sun moves through all twelve signs in the same order at the same time every year.
